Vectawave Technology Limited was founded in 1997 and is a manufacturer of robust, air-cooled, class A power amplifiers for use in industrial, military and medical applications.
Broadband Power Amplifiers based on this mature and proven technology now join the Vectawave range for integration into your EMC immunity test system.
The company has assembled a team of highly skilled and dedicated staff. Our high-tech purpose-built factory on the Isle of Wight is equipped with cutting edge design, build and test facilities to support the high level of demand for our products.
Our power amplifiers are available with frequency ranges from 10kHz to 6GHz and power levels up to 2kW.
Vectawave Technology Ltd. is accredited to ISO9001 for design and manufacture.
David Andrews: Technical Director
David is an electronic engineer with 30 years experience in RF and microwave design, principally of amplifiers. He graduated from Brunel University, UK with a degree in electrical/electronic engineering and now holds a PhD from the University of Surrey, UK. He is a founder of Vectawave
Technology in 1997 and previously held the post of Chief Design Engineer at Milmega Ltd. Prior to that he held posts in Marconi Space Systems and Plessey Microwave. His experience spans commercial, military and space technologies. David is responsible for corporate matters, design innovation and training engineers in advanced circuit design.
Mike Back: Deputy Managing Director
Mike has been in the electronics industry since 1981. Prior to joining Vectawave in 2005, he worked in technical positions for Pascal, Unisys, the NASA Deep Space Network and Plessey Radar. He studied HND Electronics at the Southampton Institute of Higher Education and an Honours Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Leadership, Business and Management (graduating with First Class Hons) at the University of Portsmouth, and also presenting a strategy paper at the UoP annual business conference. Mike is responsible for manufacturing, technical support, product commercialisation, marketing and business analysis.
Mike Summerfield: Sales Director
Mike entered the electronics industry working for BAC/BAe, taking an apprenticeship in the field of electronics and progressing into calibration. His developing interest in sales took him to Chase Electronics where his career progressed from junior sales engineer to manager and on to become Managing Director. At Chase Electronics as Sales Director, he developed an international sales distribution network. These skills he subsequently applied to a number of other successful businesses across the test equipment industry.
At Vectawave Technology Ltd., Mike is responsible for managing the global sales network, covering UK and international sales enquiries via the Company’s network of reps, agents, distributors and OEM’s.
